WHAT PEOPLE SAY

“The school psychologists are always adhering to deadlines, communicative with staff, open to feedback, incredibly collaborative and write effective psych reports. They have also been flexible in how they administer assessments and have also been able to conduct bilingual assessments. I have enjoyed working with all of the psychologists for the 2019-2020 school year.”

INTEGRATION

WE WORK SEAMLESSLY WITH YOUR TEAM

At ASM Special Education Services we pride ourselves on our excellent communication and our ability to integrate seamlessly into your on-site teams. Our partner schools have access to an ASM staff member at all times, and we provide all of the services that are typically part of an on-site staff member’s role, depending on what is requested by our partner schools. This may include monitoring timelines, generating assessment plans, coordinating and consulting with special education teachers and staff, participating in SPED Department meetings, completing forms in your online special education system, and updating present levels. These additional services are provided in conjunction with our evaluations and are included in our evaluation flat rate pricing, as we consider them to be part of providing a comprehensive service and believe they allow us to better serve our students. We consistently receive feedback that our partner schools feel like they are working with district staff as opposed to contractors.

COMPLIANCE

WE MEET 100% OF DEADLINES

Because our evaluators work as part of a team, we are able to accomplish more than the average on-site staff member. District school psychologists and other department evaluators often have trouble keeping up with the high number of assessments required during the school year. Our partner schools and parents consistently express that they are impressed with the efficiency with which we are able to complete comprehensive, high-quality evaluations within required time frames. Our clinicians meet 100% of their initial and triennial evaluation deadlines, allowing those students to receive much needed interventions in a timely manner. This also reduces the workload for your special-education teachers, because they are typically able to hold one meeting to meet students’ annual and triennial obligations as opposed to two. Therefore, we are an excellent solution in cases where district school psychologists and other assessors have become backlogged with evaluations and need help to catch up, and in situations where a staff member has gone out on leave. Our team is easily able to jump in and support districts immediately in these situations, while providing flexibility with scheduling.

VALUE

FLEXIBILITY TO CONTRACT JUST THE EVALUATIONS YOU NEED

Hiring a new employee carries all sorts of hidden costs, beyond adding an extra salary to the payroll: healthcare and insurance premiums, pension and retirement funds, payroll taxes, worker’s compensation, unemployment and disability insurance, and the cost of your valuable time as you recruit, hire, and train new team members. We provide expertly trained staff members at competitive rates that are sure to save you money in the long term. Our comprehensive evaluations are charged at a per-evaluation rate with no overhead fees, so it's easy to create a package that fulfills your exact needs and suits your budget. We often work with districts for years completing all of their evaluations, but we also regularly contract with districts who know they will only need occasional support when a staff member is out on a temporary leave or is facing a backlog. Working with ASM Special Education Services gives you the flexibility to contract for the amount of assistance your district needs. Reach out to us regarding a custom package!

VIRTUAL SERVICE

YEARS OF EXPERIENCE WITH TELE-ASSESSMENT

All of our evaluations are approved by the California Department of Education for tele-assessment! Prior to the COVID-19 crisis, we regularly offered both face-to-face and virtual modalities for our services and evaluations, so we are well-versed in virtual methods of assessment. Working with new technologies can be challenging, so we'll guide your staff, students, and parents through the process so they feel supported every step of the way.

QUALITY

A STUDENT-CENTERED APPROACH TO SERVICES

ASM Special Education Services provides a comprehensive range of Related Services for students in Special Education. Services are provided utilizing evidence-based practices by qualified personnel who love what they do and have extensive experience in school settings. To ensure best fit, many of our clinicians are experienced in particular disorders or bilingual and multi-cultural settings. Students benefit from sessions customized to their interests, needs, age, developmental abilities and curriculum. Group sessions can be provided for students who need social skills training or who have less individualized needs. We understand that it can be detrimental to students to be pulled out of classes in which they are struggling. Therefore our clinicians offer times and locations that are convenient for your school sites and your students—even before or after regular class times.

INTEGRATION

COLLABORATION IS THE KEY TO STUDENT SUCCESS

We believe students are best served when all members of the IEP team work together! ASM Special Education clinicians communicate consistently with case managers to ensure collaboration. Our clinicians take care of all scheduling and tele-therapy logistics using FERPA compliant platforms, and each student’s service schedule is also coordinated and shared with their case manager to ensure that services are provided at a time that works well for all members of the team. Clinicians are also proactive about noting progress on goals. ASM Special Education Clinicians assist each student’s support team with the development of new goals, and participate in students’ IEP meetings to report on progress. ASM Special Education Clinicians also work within the systems your district already has in place. We are familiar with SEIS, SIRAS, and Marvin, and are happy to complete your district’s service trackers, service track and complete progress reports within your online special education system, update present levels, propose new IEP goals, and utilize your district-specific forms as needed.

NEVER WORRY ABOUT RELATED SERVICE COMPLIANCE

Do you know how your students are tracking toward their goals and service minutes? Our systems put this information at your staff’s fingertips, minimizing risk of compliance issues. We track every minute of service provided, so you can rest assured that all students are in compliance with their service minutes. Service providers also input progress on goals on a monthly basis within our system in order to immediately communicate when students have met their goals to the IEP team. Progress reports are submitted regularly and are completed within your systems depending on your district’s procedures. If you recently lost a staff member or had difficulty hiring for a direct service position, reach out to us to see if we might be able to fill gaps in your services with our highly qualified, credentialed staff!
