Our team of credentialed special education clinicians are dedicated to their students and the ASM Special Education Team! Our leadership team has high expectations for our staff; we’re constantly pushing ourselves to research best practices and update our systems to provide students the best service possible. Our providers are passionate about this innovation, too; they consistently come back to us year after year. We pride ourselves on the expertise and diversity of our staff, of which over 50% are bilingual. We love what we do, and we look forward to partnering with you!

Adriana San Millan was born in Mexico city and moved to the United States for her education when she was 12 years old. She entered the 6th grade in Los Angeles, CA , where she was raised, and went on to complete a Master's Degree in Cross-Categorical Special Education. She began working as a Special Education Teacher, and served as the Director of Special Education for two school districts.
After many years of teaching and observing the positive impact a school psychologist can have on a student's life, Adriana obtained her master's degree in school psychology, obtained her Administration credential, and founded the ASM Special Education Services Agency in 2012.
ASM Special Education Services has grown to provide types of numerous Special Education Related Services and Evaluations. As a bilingual Hispanic school psychologist, Adriana takes pride in hiring staff members from minority groups and providing many forms of services and evaluations in Spanish.
ADRIANA SAN MILLAN
CEO, Lead School Psychologist
Adriana San Millan is a Hispanic Bilingual School Psychologist and Special Educator with almost two decades of experience supporting California students. Prior to founding ASM Special Education Services in 2012, Adriana worked as a Special Education Teacher, and then as the Special Education Director for two districts. She possesses three California Credentials: School Psychologist, Special Educator and Administrator. Adriana San Millan is also the author of the book: Introduction to Understanding Special Education "So, my child has what?" Adriana lives in Morgan Hill, CA with her husband and daughter and enjoys dancing and swimming in her free time.
Director of Services
Alexandra Mandel holds a BA in Psychology and Political Science from UCLA, and an MSW from the University of Washington. She is an LCSW and is currently completing a EdS in School Psychology with PPSC and Emphasis in ABA from Alliant International University in preparation for obtaining her BCBA. Prior to becoming the Director of Services for ASM Sped, Alexandra worked as a Medical Social Worker for Kaiser and Santa Clara Valley Medical Center. She began working for ASM Special Education Services in 2016 as a Mental Health Clinician prior to becoming the Director of Services. Alexandra leverages her years of experience in mental health and special education to support the ASM clinicians and our partner schools. When not supporting our teams, Alexandra enjoys reading, gardening, exercising, and spending time with her cats.
Chief Financial Officer
Kel Whisner earned a Bachelor of Science in Operations Management from Arizona State University, a Master's in Business Administration from the University of Phoenix, and he is currently completing a Master's Degree in School Psychology. Prior to joining ASM Special Education services as the CFO, Kel held Director positions with multiple technology companies.
Director of Business Operations
Andrew Cummings earned his Bachelors at the University of California, Berkeley where he studied theater, performance studies, and molecular and cellular biology. He is a former public school teacher and knows how hard school staff members work to make a difference in their students' lives. Accordingly, the Adriana San Millan business team is dedicated to partnering with our schools in ways that reduce stress and allow them more time to focus on students. Andrew has over thirteen years of experience in nonprofit management and specializes in project management, team building, and systems innovation. Andrew lives in Morgan Hill with his two dogs and enjoys volunteering for the local high school theater program, which he has directed for the last seven years.

Counselor & Clinical Supervisor
Eunice is an alumni of San Jose State University where she obtained a B.A. in Psychology and a Master of Social Work with an Emphasis in School Social Work and a Certificate in Bilingual English/Spanish Mental Health Services. Eunice has 18 years of experience in the field. Eunice has held positions in medical social work, crisis intervention, special education, intake/case management, and intimate partner violence through Kaiser and SARC. Eunice lives in San Jose, CA with her family, and in her free time she enjoys music and exploring the outdoors with her family.
